Collections lets you save any product you find on ProductChimp and organize them into named lists — groceries, electronics, seasonal picks, discounted items, items in a certain price range, items from a specific source, or whatever fits your workflow. From your Collections page you can browse, search, rename, and manage everything you've saved, with key data like price, rank, and issue flags visible at a glance. You can also add personal notes to any product before or after saving it, making it easy to capture your sourcing thoughts right where you need them.
Prerequisites
Before using Collections, make sure you have:
- An active ProductChimp account (any plan)
Description & Features
Collections is a built-in organization layer within ProductChimp that lets you curate and revisit products without losing your research. Here's what you can do:
| Feature | Description |
| Save to Collection | On any product page, tap the "Save Item" button to add that product to one or more collections. You can create a new collection on the spot or add to an existing one. |
| Manage Collections | Head to Saved in the nav bar to see all your collections. Create new ones, rename or delete existing ones, and use the search bar to find a specific collection quickly. |
| Collection Detail View | Click into any collection to see all saved products. Each entry shows the product title, current price, Best Seller Rank (BSR), and any issue flags — giving you a snapshot without opening the full product page. |
| Product Notes | Attach a personal note to any product — pricing thoughts, supplier ideas, why you saved it. Notes can be added or edited from the product page at any time, whether or not the product is saved to a collection. |
| Multi-Collection Support | A single product can belong to multiple collections simultaneously. This is useful if a product fits more than one category or research project. |
| Search Within Collections | Use the search bar on the Collections page to filter products by keyword within a specific collection or across all saved items. |
| Snapshot Data | Each saved product stores a snapshot of its title, image, price, BSR rank, BSR percentage, and issue flags at the time it was last updated. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I save the same product to more than one collection?
Yes. A product can be added to as many collections as you like. Each collection saves independently, so removing a product from one collection won't affect the others.
Do I need to save a product to a collection before adding a note?
No. Notes are independent of collections. You can add a note to any product at any time, whether or not it's been saved to a collection.
What happens to my notes and collections if a product is no longer available on Amazon?
Your saved entries and notes remain in ProductChimp. The product snapshot (title, price, BSR, etc.) reflects the data as of the last update and will not auto-remove if the product becomes unavailable.
Is there a limit to how many collections I can create?
There is no stated limit — you can create as many collections as your workflow requires.
Can I remove a product from a collection without deleting it everywhere?
Yes. Removing a product from a specific collection only unlinks it from that collection. If the product is in other collections or has a note, those are unaffected.
Does the product data in my collection stay up to date?
Each saved product stores a snapshot that includes title, image, price, BSR rank and percentage, and issue flags. This snapshot is updated periodically — it is not a live feed.
Can I search for products within a collection?
Yes. When viewing the Saved page or a specific collection, use the search bar to filter by keyword.
What does deleting a collection do to my saved products?
Deleting a collection removes the collection itself and the product associations within it. It does not delete the products from ProductChimp or remove any notes attached to those products. However in this case, they can only be found in History page (accessible from user menu on top right / hamburger menu on mobile).
