Learn how to quickly analyze Amazon products using the ProductChimp Chrome Extension, web or mobile app. This guide covers the various ways to initiate a new search, including text input, barcode scanning and auto-detection on Amazon product pages.
The ProductChimp extension makes it incredibly simple to analyze a product's potential, profit margins, fees, and competition. When you want to run a brand-new search, you have a few seamless methods to choose from:

Method 3: Auto-Browse with Chrome Extension

FAQs
What information can I use to search for a product manually?
You can enter an Amazon URL, a UPC (or EAN for European products), a product name/title, or an ASIN / ISBN-10 directly into the search bar.
I am trying to search by title, but the results seem unrelated to my search
Productchimp only retrieves the first 8 Amazon search results for a title search. This means that the more keywords you include, the more precise your results are likely to be. For example, searching for "cat", "cat food", "Purina Fancy Feast Pack of 24 3 oz. Cans", and "Purina Fancy Feast Grilled Wet Cat Food Salmon and Shrimp Feast in Gravy (Pack of 24) 3 oz. Cans" will all return different results. In this example, only the last two searches are likely to return the specific product you are looking for.
Do I always have to copy and paste links to use the extension?
No. If you have the Chrome Extension open, simply navigating to a different Amazon product page will automatically trigger a new analysis for that item.
Can I look up products using a barcode?
Yes! You can scan a new item's barcode by clicking or tapping the Scan Barcode option in the app interface.
