This guide helps you understand how Productchimp tracks your search history and when your monthly scan limits reset based on your subscription plan.
Understanding Your Search Dashboard
Productchimp provides real-time metrics so you can easily track your search engagement. In your dashboard, you will find two primary metrics:
Searches this month: The total number of queries executed during your current billing or calendar cycle.
Searches all time: A cumulative historical count of every search ever performed on your account.
When Will My Scan Count Reset?
If you are subscribed to our Starter packages, your account is allocated a limit of 200 scans per month. How and when this limit resets depends entirely on how your billing is set up:
| Subscription Type | Reset Timeline |
|---|---|
| Monthly Subscription | Your scan count resets automatically on your monthly renewal date (the exact day of the month you are charged). |
| Annual Subscription | Your scan count resets on the 1st day of every calendar month. |
⚠️ Note: Unused scans do not roll over to the next month. Make sure to maximize your 1,000 scans before your specific reset date!
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What happens if I reach my 1,000 scan limit before the month ends?
Once you hit your 1,000 scan limit, scanning will be paused until your next scheduled reset date. If you need uninterrupted access, you can upgrade your plan through your billing dashboard.
Does "Searches all time" affect my monthly limit?
No. "Searches all time" is simply a lifetime counter for your reference. Only the "Searches this month" metric counts toward your monthly 1,000 scan limit.
My billing date is on the 15th of the month. When do my scans reset?
If you are on a Monthly Subscription, your scans will reset on the 15th of every month. If you are on an Annual Subscription, they will reset on the 1st of every month, regardless of your initial purchase date.
